What has the universe done for you lately Janet?

This is just so cool — one of those moments where the universe properly lines everything up like it’s been listening in.
A couple of years ago, I trained the brilliant Tesha Matthew (pictured above - this is how she normally looks - like a happy time-travelling elf!) to be a Meditate With Horses Facilitator. She first came to one of our sessions — all the way from Birmingham, would you believe — and she absolutely loved it. So much so, she upped sticks, moved up here, and trained with us. She started running beautiful mindfulness sessions for children through her lovely company Happy Little Humans, using our horses at the farm.
Fast forward a bit — life shifted, as it does — and Tesha recently had to move back to Birmingham to be closer to family. And now? She’s expecting a beautiful little bouncing baby. We’re over the moon for her.
Anyway, this week, she’d been very much on my mind. I’d been wondering whether she was going to carry on facilitating — whether she’d find a way to bring horses back into her work down there. And then this morning, someone sent me a beautiful, tear-jerking video of horses gently nuzzling babies. I thought: That’s Tesha. So I sent it to her.
She messaged me almost instantly, saying: “I wonder if I could find a horse down here…” And I was like, “YES. Of course you can! Just get a part loan.”
“How do I do that?” she asked. So I sent her a few local Facebook groups where people advertise horses for part loan. She said she’d take a look next week and maybe post something then.
Three minutes later — literally, three — she messaged again:
“I found a horse. He’s grumpy and perfect and he’s called Simba LOL.”
Cue us both messed ourselves up laughing.
She said, “You were meant to message me this morning, weren’t you?”
And I told her: “I’ve been thinking about it all week.”
And get this — the horse she found is twelve years old and wonderfully grumpy. She’s already sending me pictures like a proud mum. I knew she’d find one straight away.
It just goes to show how easy it can be to get started — whether it’s borrowing someone’s horse or doing a part-loan. So many horse owners need help, and horses… well, they always want more attention. They’re basically like giant toddlers in wellies — endlessly curious, totally loveable, and absolutely thrilled when someone gives them time and affection. The more you give, the more they shine.
I just love it when the dots connect like this. It fills my heart right up.
