This is not a retreat you simply attend. It’s a wilder way of life you step into. Dig deeper below A returning. To land. To body. To the parts of you that have been waiting beneath the surface. Here, we work with ritual, with breath, with the unseen threads that run between women when they gather in truth. Held in sisterhood, you are invited to soften the armour and come back into your natural rhythm. The horses meet you there—without judgement, without expectation. They don’t ask you to be anything other than what you are. And in that, something begins to shift. Through meditation, movement, shadow work, and time on the land, you are gently guided back to your own instinct, your own knowing—back to the wild within you. ⸻ Nourishment is woven through everything. In the food—wild, organic, seasonal, prepared with care and intention. In the air—salt, earth, trees. In the women around you—real, open, human. This is the kind of nourishment you feel in your bones. ⸻ During your time here, you may: * Walk the edges of land and sea, where mountains rise and the horizon opens * Step into the forest and remember how to listen—learning the language of plants, food, and medicine * Sit in circle beneath firelight and stars, held in something ancient and familiar * Stand beside horses and feel your nervous system settle into a deeper calm * Meet the parts of yourself you’ve kept hidden—and begin to reclaim them * Move, breathe, rest, and reconnect through yoga, meditation, music, and stillness * Choose a deeper look into your health with a functional, holistic check-in ⸻ This is a space to unravel what no longer fits. To remember what does. To leave not as someone new— but as a woman who is fully you Here’s a refined version that keeps your meaning but elevates the flow, tone, and clarity—while making it feel cohesive and quietly powerful: ⸻ The Facilitators The facilitators of this retreat bring together over 80 years of combined experience across their respective fields. For many years, we have held and guided retreats with care, integrity, and deep devotion to this work. We understand how to support women in a truly holistic way—physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually—creating the conditions where meaningful and lasting change can unfold. ⸻ Shadow Work This is a deeply held group process, centred around one woman at a time—the protagonist—who chooses to step forward into her own exploration. There is always choice. You may fully opt out, or simply be present in quiet support of the woman doing her work, held within the safety of nature and the steady presence of the group. Shadow work invites us to turn toward the parts of ourselves that live just outside conscious awareness—the traits, feelings, impulses, beliefs, and internalised messages we learned, often early in life, were safer to hide than to express. These parts are not “bad” or dark. They have simply been pushed out of awareness. By gently bringing them into the light, we begin to understand them, soften their hold, and reshape the original narratives beneath them—so they no longer control us from the background or emerge sideways, unseen. ⸻ The Horses Horses have a profound and regulating effect on the human nervous system. Simply being in their presence can bring a quiet sense of calm to the body. A Meditate With Horses session is something that is felt before it is understood. Where many meditation practices begin with the mind and gradually influence the body, this experience works in reverse. The horse meets you at a physiological level, allowing the body to settle first. From there, the mind begins to follow—making sense of the experience in its own time. ⸻ The Mountains There is something inherently uplifting about a mountain landscape—the clarity of the air, the sense of elevation, the quiet strength of the land rising to meet you. It naturally invites perspective. Especially when seen across water, the experience becomes both grounding and expansive—offering space to reflect, reset, and renew. ⸻ The Forests Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the gentle practice of immersing yourself in nature to support health and restore balance. It is not about exertion, but about presence—moving slowly or sitting quietly, allowing your senses to open. This simple, mindful connection with the forest has been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, support the immune system, and cultivate a deep sense of calm and wellbeing. ⸻ The Sea The sea offers both physical and emotional restoration. Mineral-rich water—containing magnesium, potassium, and iodine—can support the body, soothe the skin, and encourage deep relaxation. The rhythm of the ocean naturally draws the mind into the present moment. For those who feel called, cold-water immersion can further stimulate endorphins, helping to lift mood and reduce anxiety. ⸻ Nutrient-Rich Food True vitality is not possible without nourishment. Every element of this retreat is designed to restore and support your energy at a foundational level. Modern food systems often prioritise yield over quality, leading to soil depletion and a decline in nutrient density—sometimes referred to as “hidden hunger.” At the same time, highly processed foods can place additional strain on the body, contributing to inflammation and imbalance. Here, food is approached with intention. It is thoughtfully sourced and prepared to nourish deeply—supporting your body in the way it is naturally designed to function. ⸻ The Sisterhood Again and again, it becomes clear that something powerful happens when women come together in this way. In a grounded, natural setting, connection arises organically. There is a softening. A recognition. A sense of being met, without needing to perform or hold it all together. The space allows women to be seen as they are—while also being held in something larger than themselves. From this place, something shifts. Connection deepens. Clarity returns. And many leave with a renewed sense of strength, belonging, and self. ⸻ Functional Health Check It’s worth asking—why look beyond a standard health check? With over 30 years of experience within the NHS, alongside private practice and extensive training in integrative medicine, David brings a perspective that bridges both conventional and functional approaches. While life expectancy has increased, many people are living longer with chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, depression, and autoimmune disorders. Standard health checks often focus on a limited range of markers and may overlook underlying drivers such as inflammation, insulin resistance, nutrient deficiencies, and chronic stress. Health is not one-size-fits-all. It requires a more personalised and preventative approach. Through a functional lens—combining clinical insight, nutrition, and targeted support—David helps you understand your body more deeply. This is not simply about managing symptoms. It is about creating genuine, sustainable wellbeing. ⸻ Day 1 — Arrival & Opening From 4pm — Arrival The doors open. Arrive, exhale, and begin to land.
